A numbers matching K Code, with only 83,000 original miles! This car was born (assembled in San Jose with a DSO of Los Angles) and raised in California and has been driven approximately 5,000 miles since 1972. The car was completely restored 1982-1984 and the restoration was well documented. Since the restoration work was completed, this vehicle was covered and garaged (in California) and would only leave for Sunday drives or out to a show to add another trophy to the wall. This car has all its original sheet metal and is a numbers matching car (engine, door plate, fender, trans, date coding on rear end as well as many other parts and date coded sheet metal) as you can see the vehicle has been dressed up nicely during it restoration with all N.O.S parts and still retains the original distributor and air cleaner (both in trunk). The paint is the original color of Ivy Green and the interior is the original color of Light Ivy Gold. The wheels are 5 spoke and period correct. The motor of this car has been built to the specs of a Shelby motor and is sporting the correct Holley 715 CFM carburetor, the intake is a polished original Shelby Cobra Intake Manifold and The Valve Covers and Oil Pan are NOS equipment purchased in the early 80s. The body of this car is exceptionally straight and in great condition. The front brakes, Calipers, rotors and hoses have just been rebuilt/ replaced. The interior is exceptionally clean and every light, knob, button, handle works as it did the day it was new. This car is a true restored survivor car that has been dressed up for performance and esthetics and accelerates to prove it.

If you take the time to review the availability of K code Mustangs, you will find that most of what you will find are GT's, this is because the plane Jane cars were purchased by people to race (1/4 mile, track racing or street racing) plane Jane cars were considered to be less desirable until recently when people recognized how few are out there. These cars were also more likely to be passed down to family members than to be destroyed. I can find an astonishing amount of Shelby's on the Internet or in advertisements, try to find a numbers matching plane Jane 4spd K Code fastback!
